24 Waterfowl Instagram Accounts to Follow

By Travis Thompson

It’s the Offseason . . . That means we’re all biding our time, counting down the days until early teal or goose starts everything over . . .

While you while away the hours training your retrievers and re-painting your decoys, we thought we’d compile a list of must-follow Instagram accounts . . . Exactly what you need while you’re stuck on a conference call with the executives or in a never ending hold with tech support.

Note that these are mostly personal accounts – we will be releasing another list for “waterfowl brands to follow” soon . . . But sometimes folks love the personal side, picture after picture of dead ducks and geese, but the occasional Christmas morning family photo . . .

Here goes – the huntfowl.com official list of 24 Must Follow Instagram Accounts for Waterfowlers!

1. HuntFowl – https://www.instagram.com/huntfowlcom/ – Yes, this is self serving. But we bring you the best we can find from the world of waterfowling.  We’re regular waterfowlers chasing our dreams just like you . . .

2. Matt Stagner – https://www.instagram.com/m_stagner_photography/ – A Houston area photographer, his images will have you dreaming of pintails and blue wings and whistlers all summer long

3. Tod Manning – https://www.instagram.com/todmanningphotography/ – Another gifted outdoors photographer, Tod captures stunning detail and some great dog shots . . . Tod also seems to have the market cornered on impact shots, showing the duck as the pellets make impact – amazing high speed stuff

4. Days Afield Photography – https://www.instagram.com/daysafieldphotography/ – Not as well known as many of the names on this list, the stunning contrast of black and white perfectly complements his shots of flooded timber and labs

7. Justin Martin – https://www.instagram.com/jmartinduckman/ – Most waterfowler’s have a love/hate relationship with Duck Dynasty and the Duck Commander brand . . . Justin Martin is the best of their accounts when it comes to waterfowling and the outdoors in general . . . He is less “trying to push a brand” and more of a “regular guy doing it right outdoors” . . .

8. Tyler Gunner – https://www.instagram.com/tylergunner25/ – Our last Habitat Flats guide, Tyler is an outdoorsman’s outdoorsman – turkey, geese, ducks, and dogs. Also, I think the HF guys have full time photographers that follow them around and make them look amazing.

9. Jonathan Olson – https://www.instagram.com/jonathanolson21/ – Snow’s Addiction guide service. Follow this guy if you love seeing massive piles of snow geese.    Great shots of flocks of geese decoying in, too . . . Goose porn, really.

10. Teddy Kelley – https://www.instagram.com/simpler.times/ – this isn’t a “strictly” waterfowl follow, but Kelley’s pictures are so breathtaking I’m sure you won’t mind. 15. Waterfowl Addiction – https://www.instagram.com/waterfowl_addiction/ – This is one of those “DM us your photos to be featured” pages, but that shouldn’t stop you from clicking the follow icon . . . In reality, this page brings together so much content it should be near the top of the list

16. Wes Morrison – https://www.instagram.com/wesmorrison_/ – Wes is on a number of pro-staffs, and you’ll see lots of piles, but his page also has a different perspective to it that’s refreshing . . .
